Here's the Process of How it Works

Unlike salt-based water softeners which use a process called ion exchange to remove hard water minerals, salt-free water conditioners use a physical process known as Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC). This process converts the hardness-causing minerals in the water to a hardness crystal that won’t stick to any surface in your home, keeping your appliances and hot water heaters free of hard water scale build up. Salt-free softeners are also known as water conditioners because they do not actually “soften” the water; They condition (or neutralize) it. How Our Salt-Free Softener System Alternative Works

The FutureSoft media is only half the equation! To pour media inside a tank and hope for the best is typical in our industry and many companies within the industry try to get away with it. That is not the case with the FutureSoft system. Years of experience and thorough testing led us to design a tank that fluidizes the media better than any other systems in the market. Fluidization is the key to forming calcium crystals. The FutureSoft media converts the hard water minerals into crystals which prevent them from sticking to surfaces, even under extreme temperatures.

What's the Secret?

The secret is getting it to fluidize properly under low to high flow rates.The average home works on a lower GPM with many stop and start cycles but we built a system that could handle it. The WQA did a study that determined the average home uses less than 5 GPM at any given time. This is why the FutureSoft water softener system was designed to use ActivFlo Technology.  It allows the system to operate at all flow rates and ensure you don’t have any drop in water pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The system overall is extremely low maintenance. You will need to replace the 5 micron pre-filter (inside blue canister) every 6 to 9 months. We sell a 2 pack of pre-filters for around $40 (depending on our current sale) which includes two sediment filters with o-rings and lube.

  • Each salt free system is built to ensure you have no drop in water pressure. We build the systems based on the amount of full bathrooms you have in your home. If you have 1-3 full bathrooms then selecting our 1-3 bathroom drop down will give you a flow rate of 9 GPM while our 4-6 bathroom unit will give you 12 GPM and 7+ giving you 17 GPM. Be sure when comparing our water systems to others that you ensure that you have at the very least 9 GPM flow rate or you may experience drop in water pressure in your home.

  • We highly recommend you have a whole house filtration system in front of the salt free system to ensure the media does not foul.  City water tends to have high amounts of chlorine and chloramine in the water, so we recommend our combo system to ensure you're getting the best quality water out of each faucet.

  • Well water tends to have a lot of harsh contaminants.  We do not recommend getting a salt free water softener unless the water is pre-treated.  You will need to pre-treat and filter out iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, copper or other contaminants that could foul the Futuresoft media.

  • No, your water hardness will not change if you were to test the water after installing the salt free water softener.  The salt free softener does not remove the hard water minerals from your water, it simply crystalizes them to prevent the hardness from sticking and forming scale while improving the lifespan of your homes pipes and appliances.

The Importance of Water Pressure:

What's the point of purchasing a water system, installing it, and getting great tasting water if you're going to have drop in water pressure?  That's why at Springwell Water, we build our systems based on the number of bathrooms you have in your home to ensure you get no drop in water pressure.

Here's what you need to think about!  The average shower uses 2.1 gallons of water per minute.  If your home has 3 full bathrooms and all three showers are turned on at the same time, this means you'll be using about 6.3 gallons per minute (GPM).  You need to make sure you are purchasing a system with at least 8 GPM in case your appliances are on as well as kitchen sink, etc.

What to Expect

Once the FutureSoft water softener system is installed, depending on the age of your home and the plumbing will depend on what you will see.

  • If you live in a new home, you can be sure the system will protect your plumbing, hot water heater, dishwasher, showers, etc. It is designed to protect under high temperatures and low or high water usage.
  • If you live in an older home with older pipes and such then you will start to experience a clean out period. Depending on water usage, this can take up to 90 days. FutureSoft softener will actually break down and the clean the inside of your pipes and heating elements. As this happens, you will experience an increase in spotting wherever water evaporates. You will mostly see this in the shower, counter tops, shower heads, and faucets. We recommend you flush your hot water heater after the first month of use.

What NOT to Expect

Once the FutureSoft water softener is installed, you will not have a slippery feel to the water as you would have with a salt-based water softener. This doesn’t mean it’s not working. FutureSoft is not adding any sodium to the water and is retaining the important, healthy minerals in your water.

A water hardness test would not show a reduced hardness. How do I know it’s working? The FutureSoft is a salt-free system that does not pull out the hardness to replace them with sodium. The hardness minerals, calcium and magnesium are still present and being crystallized. You will no longer have the downside to hard water, i.e., scaling, etching and clogging of aerators while retaining the beneficial minerals. Also, since the minerals are not being pulled out of the water, you will not be lowering the pH, which can cause water to become acidic helping it to stay alkaline which is very beneficial for you and your home.

Are you the DIY type?

Are you handy? Are you familiar with plumbing and piping? Then this may be a job for you! If not, then we strongly recommend hiring a professional plumber or handyman. Ease of installation depends on your specific home, home’s piping size and type. We will provide you with bypass valve and 1″ elbow fittings. All you need to provide is your own piping and fittings to attach to the system. Watch our video for more details.

To the end user (customer), SpringWell Water ("SpringWell") warrants that all "covered items" including its fittings, FutureSoft media, tanks, housings, bypass's, valves, and in/out heads, shall be free of any defects in material and workmanship throughout the lifespan of the system under normal application, service and use.

Limited Warranty for a period of 10- years

To the end user (customer), SpringWell Water ("SpringWell") warrants that the following Covered items- retention tanks and mineral tanks (14" or larger) shall be free of any defects in material and workmanship for a period of 10-years under normal application, service and use.

Limited Warranty for a period of 5- years

To the end user (customer), SpringWell Water ("SpringWell") warrants that its solid-state electronic heads shall be free of any defects in material and workmanship for a period of 5-years under normal application, service and use.

LIMITATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The obligation of SpringWell to the customer:

Subject to these warranties the cost of labor covered for the replacement or repair of Covered Items. This includes the replacement of Cover Items such as filter cartridges, elements or lamps.

To the Customer:

Prior to return or repair, it is binding on the Customer to obtain from SpringWell Water a return goods authorization number. The option to return the Covered Items freight prepaid is reserved to SpringWell.

Return of Covered Items:

Following repair or replacement, Covered Items under these warranties shall be returned to the initial point of shipment by prepaid standard freight.
Should the Customer prefer to use the Expedited freight options, they'll be expected to bear the expenses.

Warranty:

  1. Warranties will not cover for defects or damage arising from:
    1. Improper handling, physical damage, modifications, misapplication, negligence, and abuse.
    2. Accident or defects caused by acts of God, such as fire or freezing.
    3. Failure to adhere to the instruction of the manufacturer during transportation, installation, and use.
  2. Improper maintenance such as failure to replace filters or media at the appropriate time will be judged as "neglect". So also, the installation of any system on water conditions beyond the recommended specification for that particular system will render the warranty void and non-binding.
  3. Only a registered owner is entitled to warranties under the condition the owner owns/lives in the home where the system was installed initially. Warranty will be considered nulled if the system is removed from the location it was installed initially.
  4. Warranty begins on the date the product is delivered to the customer.
  5. This warranty qualifies and represents all other warranties to the customer, whether expressed or implied. This warranty disclaims without limitation implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or treatment of certain water conditions.
  6. SpringWell's liability as contained in this warranties shall not exceed the product's cost.
  7. SpringWell will not be held liable for any loss, incidental or consequential damages. Including damages or expenses of any kind such as loss of use resulting from installation, use, inability to use the Covered Items, or any water treatment system the Covered Items are incorporated into.
  8. The laws of the state of Florida govern these warranties and it may change without notice at any point in time.

Shipping: Tracking your products

You will receive a tracking ID via your preferred e-mail for every order. Unfortunately, in rare cases, as is the case during a tracking-data base update by the carrier or due to the complexity of a carrier's tracking system it is possible that tracking information will become unavailable. If this happens, we kindly advise that you allow for up to 48-hours for our data base to update; meanwhile always feel free to contact customer service for more information regarding your order.

Undeliverable Packages

Sometimes we do have packages returned as "undeliverable." That said, we offer full refund minus shipping cost (in cases where delivery failed due to address error not the fault of SpringWell Water) for all undeliverable packages returned to us.
We do not re-ship undelivered packages. However, if you are still interested in items returned undelivered, kindly place a new order on our online store. However, contact us if any of these occurs: 1). You suspect your package won't be delivered as addressed; 2). You are yet to receive a notice confirming its return; or 3). Its weeks past the estimated delivery date and you are yet to get a refund.

Refused Shipments

SpringWell Water, will at its own volition choose to charge a customer return shipping charges if an item is refused upon delivery at no fault of ours. For items refused before delivery, SpringWell will not be held liable for the shipping cost. SpringWell reserves the right to charge 25% restock plus freight/shipping charges for all refused packages.

Damage and/or Lost Shipment

For claims of damaged or lost items (Small Package), return must be made within 10- days of delivery. As for freight shipment, it is the responsibility of the customer to inspect and report any damage/ loss to the freight driver right away. For purpose of filing claims, we may request photos of damage from you. Please, due to the meticulous process involved, investigations may take up to 5 or 14 business days for loss and damage claims.

Policy on cancellation

You reserve the right to cancel any order before the shipping process commences. Note that orders that have commenced the shipping process cannot be cancelled by you or our customer support team. However, you are allowed to return the item for a refund. Contact our customer service via phone (not email) to initiate a cancellation of your order.


Return Policy

General Return Policy

We accept, within six (6) months the return of all SpringWell brand items in their original condition for a full refund. However, shipping charges are not refundable- return shipping charges will be borne by the customer and SpringWell has the right to charge a 25% restock fee for all returned items.

For Water Test kits, you hold the right to return the item unused within 30 days.

Lastly, the following charges on taxes, brokerage, shipping, and customs as well as border crossing charges on shipments are not refundable.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We invite you to try these products for six (6) months; subsequently you're free to return the product if you're not satisfied for a full, 100% refund minus a 25% restocking fee. However, return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer. Taxes, brokerage, customs and border crossing fees on international shipments are not refundable; Note: water conditions must be in line with manufacturer specs.

Product Exchange

Contact customer support if you received a faulty item and wish to replace it for the same type of item. You will receive a prepaid return label from customer support to finalize the return process. A new shipment will be sent to you once we confirm the return of the faulty item.

If you are interested in another product and would like to exchange an item for it, please return the original item per our return policy then go ahead to place a new order for the product you desire. Please note that you can place a new order immediately without waiting for us to receive the original item.

Policy on cancellation

You reserve the right to cancel any order before the shipping process commences. Note that orders that have commenced the shipping process cannot be cancelled by you or our customer support team. However, you are allowed to return the item for a refund. Contact our customer service via phone (not email) to initiate a cancellation of your order.


Return Policy

General Return Policy

We accept, within six (6) months the return of all SpringWell brand items in their original condition for a full refund. However, shipping charges are not refundable- return shipping charges will be borne by the customer and SpringWell has the right to charge a 25% restock fee for all returned items.

For Water Test kits, you hold the right to return the item unused within 30 days.

Lastly, the following charges on taxes, brokerage, shipping, and customs as well as border crossing charges on shipments are not refundable.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We invite you to try these products for six (6) months; subsequently you’re free to return the product if you’re not satisfied for a full, 100% refund minus a 25% restocking fee. However, return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer. Taxes, brokerage, customs and border crossing fees on international shipments are not refundable; Note: water conditions must be in line with manufacturer specs.

Product Exchange

Contact customer support if you received a faulty item and wish to replace it for the same type of item. You will receive a prepaid return label from customer support to finalize the return process. A new shipment will be sent to you once we confirm the return of the faulty item.

If you are interested in another product and would like to exchange an item for it, please return the original item per our return policy then go ahead to place a new order for the product you desire. Please note that you can place a new order immediately without waiting for us to receive the original item.
