Your Clean Water Investment Just Got Even Smarter

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) let you set aside pre-tax dollars for qualified health and wellness expenses. That means every dollar you spend goes further — no tax bite.

Thanks to our partnership with TrueMed, SpringWell water filtration systems now qualify as a medical expense with a doctor-issued Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). Hundreds of studies support clean water and reduced contaminant exposure as foundational to disease prevention.

If you’re unsure whether you have an HSA or FSA, check with your employer or insurance provider. Most employer health plans include one or both.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using HSA/FSA dollars at SpringWell.

QWhat are HSA and FSA accounts?

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are programs that let you set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible healthcare expenses. If you’re unsure whether you have one, check with your employer or insurance provider.

QCan I use my HSA/FSA at SpringWell?

Yes, if qualified. Select TrueMed at checkout and use your FSA or HSA card like any credit card. If you don’t have enough HSA/FSA funds, you can split the payment with a regular credit card.

QCan I still use a regular credit card?

Absolutely. Select your regular credit card within the TrueMed checkout. After your purchase, TrueMed will email you instructions on how to submit your receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement.

QWhat is a Letter of Medical Necessity?

A Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is issued by a licensed provider and makes your SpringWell purchase a qualified medical expense — just like a doctor’s visit or a prescription.

QAre there any fees for using TrueMed?

There is no cost to you, as long as you’re shopping with a TrueMed partner merchant like SpringWell.

QWhen should I use my FSA dollars?

You can use HSA/FSA dollars all year long. However, most FSA funds expire December 31st and unused balances typically don’t roll over. Spend your FSA dollars before year-end — use it so you don’t lose it!

QHow long does it take to receive my LMN?

Generally 2–5 hours. In some cases, TrueMed’s provider team may need additional time. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check spam — or reach out to [email protected].

QWhat if I don’t have an HSA or FSA?

TrueMed’s services are designed for individuals with HSA or FSA accounts. We encourage you to ask your employer about enrolling in an HSA or FSA plan during open enrollment.

TrueMed is for qualified customers. HSA/FSA tax savings vary by individual. SpringWell Water filtration systems may qualify as a medical expense with a Letter of Medical Necessity.
